"CUENTOS DE TORMENTA"
(STORM TALES)
- 2026
This series stands out by transforming the intimate experience of grief into a field of visual inquiry. What began as a therapeutic process in anticipation of loss expands into a collective dimension through the act of listening to other people's stories. The series reinterprets suffering not as an end point, but as a complex, non-linear process that—when shared—can be navigated with greater awareness and strength.
Each work constructs a symbolic narrative in which the sky and atmosphere mirror the human psyche. Clouds embody shifting emotional states, while the human figure—at times fragmented—reveals vulnerability and the toll of endurance. In these paintings, the storm serves as the project’s central metaphor: an inevitable passage leading from resistance and inner chaos toward an acceptance understood as the integration of loss.
